Quick Facts

  • The Gee-Gees Men's Rugby Club based at the University of Ottawa completed its fifth full season of play on November 11, 2007 with a well-played match against RMC.
  • Men's Rugby is in the Competitive Sports Club category at the University. The season consisted almost entirely of exhibition games against other University men’s rugby teams.  See menu item ‘Game Results’ for all the scores.
  • In 2007, the Gee-Gees formed an informal 2nds  League with Queen’s and McGill and played a round-robin schedule. The Gee-Gees managed to defeat McGill in every match and came within a missed drop-kick of beating Queen’s at home in the Sportsplex. In another first for the Gee-Gees, the season started with a very exciting trip to Syracuse to play the University Hammerheads Club. The Gee-Gees won the first game and lost the second one.
