- The Gee-Gees Men's Rugby
Club based at the University
of Ottawa completed
its fourth full season of play on November 11, 2006. The results of the
matches played over the season have made this the most successful season
in Gee-Gees history.
- Men's Rugby
is in the Competitive Sports Club category at the University. The season
consisted almost entirely of exhibition games against other University
men’s rugby teams.
- In 2006, the Gee-Gees
traveled to Sherbrooke,
Quebec to play in a tournament which it
won by defeating Sherbrooke
University, Bishops University
and Club Abenakis. As well, the Gee-Gees played Carleton University three times and won

Results” to see all the scores of our matches.
On November 25, 2006, an Awards Night and Banquet was held
to celebrate our successes both on and off the field. The Coaching staff
selected the award winners from a short list of nominees. Following are the
recipients: Back of the Year – Dave Ludolph,
Forward of the Year – Chris Seyler, Clubman of
the Year – Barrett Karam and Import Player of
the Year – Motoyuki Daikoku.

Quick Facts
- The Gee-Gees Men's Rugby
Club based at the University of Ottawa completed its third full season of play
on November 12, 2005 with a mini-tournament at Trent
University in Peterborough. The Gee-Gees won the
second place trophy by defeating both RMC and Trent.
- Men's Rugby
is in the Competitive Sports Club category at the University and has been
playing its league games in the Eastern Ontario Rugby Union (EORU)
Men’s Fall League, as well as, exhibition games and mini-tournaments
against other University teams.
- In 2005, the Gee-Gees once
again reached the finals in the Consolation series of the EORU Fall
League. They were defeated by the Ottawa Irish in the Finals.
The
players voted for the team MVP's. The awards were presented at the end-of-
season dinner. The recipients were as follows: Chris Ricciuti
– Vet. Forward of the Year (second year in a row), George Bush –
Vet. Back of the Year, Doug Wooldridge - Rookie Forward of
the Year, Greg Smart – Rookie Back of the Year and Ben McLeod –
Player of the Year. Nobuyuki
Yamamoto was presented with an award as the Import Player of the Year.

Archives 2004
The
Gee-Gees Men's Rugby Club based at the University
of Ottawa completed its second full
season of play on November 13, 2004 with a mini-tournament at Concordia University
in Montreal.
- Men's Rugby
is in the Competitive Sports Club category at the University and plays its
league games during the fall schedule of the Eastern Ontario Rugby Union
(EORU), as well as, some exhibition games and mini-tournaments.
- In 2004, the Gee-Gees once
again reached the playoffs for the Plate in the EORU. They were defeated
by the Bytown Blues in the Plate Finals.
- The players voted for the
team MVP's. The awards were presented at the end-of- season dinner. The
recipients were as follows: Chris Ricciuti -
Forward of the Year, Matt Barnes - Back of the Year (second year in a
row), Andrew Grubb - Rookie of the Year and Carlos Vassallo
– Player of the Year.
