Coach Robinson was affiliated with the Blackheath R.F.C. in England prior to immigrating to Canada in 1969.

Title: Head Coach, Gee-Gees Men’s Rugby Club at the University of Ottawa

 

Coaching Experience:  Over the past 30 years he has been a Head Coach and guest coach to many local high school teams in the City of Ottawa.

Currently, he is Head Coach of the University of Ottawa Men’s Gee-Gees Rugby. He has coached the regional Eastern Ontario Rugby Union (EORU) U-16 / U-18 Rep Teams. Was Assistant Coach to the Ontario Provincial U-21 Men's (Pioneers) Representative Team. Stuart was also an Assistant Coach to the University of Western Ontario during its May 2001 tour of New Zealand and Australia. He has developed and coached contact rugby and non-contact mini rugby for children and youth at many elementary, middle and high schools in the Ottawa and Seaway Regions. 

 

Awards: A crowning achievement, and recognition of his long and distinguished career in contributing to the development of local rugby, was in being honored as the 1999 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, Sports and Recreation (Rugby) for the City of Nepean.

 

Qualifications:  Currently completing his National Coaching Certification Program Level III designation.

                                                                                         

Other Sports Qualifications:  Eastern Ontario Rugby Referee Association (EORRS) Level I referee. Stuart obtained his Black Belt (Tae Known Do) in 1996. He is a Level II CSIA ski instructor.
